Privacy Policy

Kinexus Sports LLC ("Kinexus", "we", "our", or "us") operates Kinexus Sports. We may collect account information such as athlete name, email address, age or date of birth, sport, position, skill level, training goals, consent records, subscription status, and app activity.

When an athlete or parent/guardian records or uploads a video, we collect the video file, technical scan metadata (such as capture framerate, orientation, and resolution), and derived kinematic movement observations required to provide performance feedback.

This section constitutes our written Biometric Information Notice and Policy under applicable biometric privacy laws (including Illinois BIPA 740 ILCS 14/, Texas CUBI Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 503.001, Washington RCW 19.375, California CCPA/CPRA, and FTC Biometric Policy Guidance).

• Purpose of Collection: Kinexus collects and analyzes kinematic movement data—specifically skeletal joint coordinates (such as knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, ankle, and wrist positions), body posture angles, limb velocities, and jump/stride mechanics extracted from athletic drill videos. This data is collected solely to evaluate athletic technique, compute movement quality scores, provide biomechanical training feedback, track progress over time, and recommend drills.

• What We Do NOT Collect: Kinexus does NOT collect, capture, generate, or store facial recognition templates, facial geometry, retina or iris scans, fingerprints, or voiceprints. Kinexus does NOT use movement data or skeletal landmarks to identify, verify, authenticate, or track the physical identity of any individual across sessions or services.

• Privacy Sanitization: Facial regions, background subjects, and extraneous visual features are masked or discarded during feature extraction. Audio streams and identifying metadata are stripped before movement evidence is finalized.

• Prohibition on Sale: Kinexus does not sell, lease, trade, or rent biometric or kinematic information to any third party for any commercial purpose.

• Retention Schedule & Guidelines: Biometric and kinematic data (including derived movement evidence packets) are retained only for the duration necessary to provide the athlete's training history and service features, or until a deletion request is made.

• Permanent Deletion: An athlete or parent/guardian may request permanent destruction of all kinematic data, stored video files, and account records at any time through in-app settings (Profile > Data & Support) or by emailing contact@kinexussports.com. Upon receipt of a verified deletion request or account closure, Kinexus permanently destroys and purges all biometric identifiers, kinematic packets, and video references from active systems within thirty (30) days, unless a longer retention period is explicitly required by valid legal process.

Kinexus is designed for developing athletes and is available for users aged 8 and older. We are committed to protecting youth privacy in strict compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable youth digital safety laws.

• Athletes Ages 8 to 12: An account may only be established and used with verified consent and permission from a parent or legal guardian. We collect the parent/guardian email address and record auditable parental consent prior to account activation, video capture, or movement processing.

• Athletes Ages 13 to 17: Teen athletes may create an account and use Kinexus only with the permission of a parent or guardian. We may collect guardian contact information to document that authorization.

• Parental Rights: Parents and legal guardians retain the right to review the personal information collected from their child, refuse further data collection, export training history, or request the immediate, permanent deletion of their child's account, videos, and movement records by contacting contact@kinexussports.com. If we discover that personal information has been collected from a child under 8, or from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take prompt steps to delete that data.

Uploaded drill videos are stored using encrypted cloud storage so athletes can review their match results, baseline history, skill progression, and coaching breakdowns over time.

Movement analysis is performed using on-device computer vision models (Google MediaPipe Pose) to translate body motions into numeric kinematic vectors directly on the athlete's device whenever possible. Video processing and analysis strictly follow the purpose limitations articulated in this policy.

Kinexus may use trusted AI services (including Google Gemini via secure enterprise APIs) to evaluate numeric kinematic metrics and generate natural-language coaching tips and training recommendations.

Data Boundaries: Private user drill videos and kinematic measurements are processed solely to deliver Kinexus coaching features. We enforce strict contractual and architectural protections: private user videos and kinematic data are NEVER used to train public foundation models, and are never shared with advertising networks, brokers, or external AI trainers.

We use collected information to operate the Kinexus platform, deliver personalized athletic feedback, compute movement scores, manage user authentication, protect against fraud and platform misuse, administer subscriptions, provide customer support, improve system reliability, and comply with legal requirements.

We partner with trusted infrastructure and service providers for cloud hosting, secure database management, user authentication, subscription billing, file storage, transactional notifications, customer support, and AI/video analysis.

These providers process data strictly on our behalf under written confidentiality and security agreements, and they are prohibited from using personal information for their own independent commercial purposes or selling such information.

Athletes and parents/guardians maintain full control over their personal data. Through the mobile app (Profile > Data & Support) or by emailing contact@kinexussports.com, users can:

• Request an export of account and training history.

• Clear local video and thumbnail caches on their device.

• Request deletion of training data while retaining their profile.

• Request complete and irreversible deletion of their account and all associated video and biometric/kinematic records.

When a deletion request is received, all associated records are permanently destroyed within 30 days, subject only to minimal records we may be legally required to retain for tax, fraud-prevention, or regulatory audit purposes.

We implement robust technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal, video, and kinematic data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

These measures include end-to-end TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access restrictions, and automated privacy boundary assertions that strip unnecessary identifiers before data transmission.
